Grand Opening

Math Plus Tutors cordially invites you to the Grand Opening of our New Learning Centre on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021, between 10:00am and 12:00pm, at our new location 108 Mitton Street South!

We just completed a move from our Christina St. location, to our new facility in Mitton Village. We now have our own building with larger rooms; more accessible space designed for your comfort, are better equipped to enhance your learning experience, and can offer you more engaging, educational, and inspiring programs for learners of different ages and abilities. On top of that, we are celebrating our sixth anniversary! None of this would have been possible without the support of our community, partners, teachers, staff, students, parents, and families.

We therefore have a lot to be thankful for and much to celebrate! We want you to be a part of the celebration! Come tour our facility, explore our programs, and meet our teachers!

Refreshments will be served.

Safe COVID 19 measures are in place throughout the event.  Please follow staff directions

Surprise…. We’re Moving!

With the upcoming school year just around the corner, now is a time for changes. We, at MPT, are no different. As many already know, we are in the process of moving to our brand new facility in the heart of Mitton Village. While 805 Christina has been our home for the past 6 years, we have decided it is time to take on this exciting new journey. Our new location provides us the luxury of our own building, as well as immerses us deeply in the lively community of Mitton Village.

Looking to see the transformation of our new building? Check out our Facebook and Instagram page to follow along!

Time Travelers

MPT’s annual summer day camp continues with new and exciting adventures for the campers. This week’s theme is “Time travellers”! In a way we all already travel in time – we are constantly moving into the future. However, time is the only dimension we can only move in one direction. Or is it? What if we could travel into the past? Wouldn’t it be exciting? Brilliant minds like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking had some very interesting theories. Join us and explore the science and the possibilities.

We would like to invite all of Sarnia to view the live stream coverage of our own time travel adventures! The live coverage will be through our Instagram and Facebook platforms.

Summer Day Camp

As many of you already know, MPT’s annual summer day camp is well underway! Our first four weeks went spectacularly well, with many special guests and engaging activities. However the fun is still on, with this week’s theme of Summer Olympics! Campers will have the opportunity to explore the history of the Olympics and compete, just like the athletes in Tokyo, in MPT’s very own games! We would like to invite all of Sarnia to view the live stream coverage of our Olympic Games and show support for your campers!

The live coverage will be through our Instagram and Facebook platforms.

Summer Must-Rd Program

As a compliment to the Ketch-Up program MPT has also launched another summer initiative, the Must-Rd (or Must-Read) campaign! Just like the red condiment we know and love, this yellow condiment is meant to add flavour to our summer and spice to our minds. Every Sunday for the 7 weeks, Sarnia’s premier learning centre will bring you our Must-Rd suggestions for the summer holidays! The recommendations are listed in order based on the following age groups:
1: 2-5 years old
2: 6-9 years old
3: 10-13 years old
4: 14-18 years old
5: 18+ years old
You can find all MPT Must-Rd recommendations on our Facebook page. Please comment and let us know your favourites! Many thanks in advance for your input and happy reading!

Summer Ketch-Up Program

This past year has taken a significant toll on students all across Ontario. Teachers and students alike were forced to switch online learning numerous times as a result of the province moving into lockdown. These abrupt transitions resulted in detrimental effects that can be witnessed through the lack of children’s understanding and their mental health. As such, MPT has developed the new Ketch-Up program; a project dedicated to elevating children’s comprehension and learning. Just like the red condiment we know and love, Ketch- Up is designed to be the next go to program for children looking to catch up with school and be ready for next year.
